It all began when three women met in a traditional Basque ciderhouse: a Swedish woman accustomed to sweet, sparkling ciders, a woman from Bilbao with gastrointestinal sensitivities, and a San Sebastián’ s girl living with coeliac disease.

What started as a casual conversation soon evolved into a lively debate about cider—its health benefits, acidity, aromas, freshness, and character. From that discussion emerged an unconventional idea: to create a cider that remains true to the essence, natural purity, and distinctive aromas of traditional local cider while preserving the qualities that make it both enjoyable and easy to drink.

The result is ONA: a cider born from a shared passion for authenticity, craftsmanship, and wellbeing.
